How to Encourage Children to Gain Interest in Science

Science is one of the subjects in schools. Children can enjoy and are motivated towards science by few ways like reading about science, exploring the world outside, watching a science video, etc. If cool science experiments are provided to children and when they made to play them, they start loving science more. There are few tips to encourage the children about science, such as:

Ask questions: First you ask the questions to them. Let them know the answers by doing some experiment. On finishing their experiment further questions can be asked. You can ask the questions about their physical experiment or ask about why things happen.

Encourage for experiments: You need to give chance to children to perform some experiments at home. You may get ideas about science experiments by using book or science course. Find some science books, which may be of interest to your children. Show them the experiment instructions on video, children may love watching it.

Encourage mess: You need to accept and even encourage mess, if you want children to do the experiments. You can set up some boxes for science experiments to keep all type of odds and ends. You need to create a science corner and fill it with experiment books, all the materials and table to perform some experiment. Rubber bands, straws, pipe cleaners, papers clips, balloons, popsicle sticks, etc will be needed.

Allow for mistakes: There is no guarantee that every science experiment works perfectly. If any experiment fails then ask them what did they learn from that. Encourage them to do it perfectly the next time.

In this way you can encourage your children to get an interest about science and science experiments.
